Kypros Nicolaou is an Exercise Physiologist at the Cyprus Sports Research Center since 2005 and was the National Coach of the Cyprus Triathlon Federation for four years. He utilizes his academic background, hands-on practice, and substantial experience to implement a successful and passionate approach to coaching and sharing fitness advice. His approach is multi-faceted, integrating many ideas (such as Functional Strength Training, the Science of Triathlon, and Training for Life) into one method, helping both recreational & national level athletes achieve their goals. Kypros has earned numerous certifications, including from ACSM, as a Health & Fitness Instructor, a Level II Triathlon coaching certification from the ITU, and an ASA – Swimming Certification, specializing in the philosophy “Connecting theory with practice”, a proven and successful methodology. Kypros respects his athletes’ busy lifestyles, to tailor-make advice that makes sense. As a top priority he safeguards his athletes health, which he will not sacrifice for top performance. Kypros has trained, among others, George Andreou, the first Cypriot to climb the summit of Mount Everest and return safely back home, and Andreas Djiakouris, the 2015 and 2018 National Triathlon Champion.
